Simplicity Counts

In everything, simplicity is beautiful!  Why make things complicated while you can make things simple and yet beautiful!

We (with my hubby, of course) met Ekaterina and found the beauty in her simplicity.  She has beautiful and tantalizing eyes!  At a glance, she looks shy and yet she's a jolly lady.  I didn't have the chance to know her more, but I can see through her eyes what she has a warm heart.

It was a  pleasure meeting her husband, Benjamin who has the same personality
as her!  Both of them have a very charming and loving nature.

A very lovely couple!

You can just feel the love in the air!

So sweet!

Thoughts You Choose to Think & Believe Right Now...

I'm Back....after 5 months!

To start with my blog...allow me to share positive thoughts that have helped us to survive in life!  It gives me an inspiration to share them to you as I ponder them myself!

"The thoughts you choose to think and believe right now are creating your future.  These thoughts form your experiences tomorrow, next week, and next year".  By: Louise Hay

Is there any truth in this statement?  Why not post for a moment and ponder the given words. Or should we say....we need to start and try to practice them right now!  Are we really aware of what's going on in our life on a daily basis?  Or we just let the day pass by....

Since I lost my father when I was just 12 years old, nobody has shared these thoughts to me.  My Mom was still young and so sad losing my Dad at the age of 40 yrs old.  As she struggled life on a daily basis on how to feed her 7 siblings!  She lost her hope and did not believe in creating her own future!

Being young, I do not understand what was happening and do not even know how to face life's battles and struggles...I felt life is not fair at all!  Life did not treat us well...as we walked our journey!  But life should go on and with God's love and grace, my family and I are so blessed having such experiences and turmoil in our early age.  Those experiences made us stronger people and able to face life more positively!

Without knowing, we are already practicing positive thinking during those days.  Even without anyone sharing those words of Ms Louise Hay, author of "Everyday Positive Thinking"!

Guess, it's all within us...we just need to know that it's there...and for us to search them within us!

Why Wake Up Early?

Do you know that the best  time to photo shoot landscape is sunrise or sunset?  An aspiring Photographer, need to train himself in waking up early morning to capture some magical images of the day.  This should never be missed out on such a moment, just because of laziness!  Waking up early to take lovely picture is one of the most spectacular and challenging types of photography.  The beauty of the sun during sunrise is so magnificent that every Photographer should not miss out to capture in his lens.

In order to prepare the newbies in your First Outdoor Photography, you need to do some preparations.

 1)     Sleep Early – no late night out!
2)      Pack all you need before going to bed.
3)      Ensure that all your batteries is charged
4)      Check your camera bag – ensure that all the equipment you need is inside.
a.       Camera with correct lens
b.      CF / SD Card
c.       Exposure Log Book
d.      Student ID
e.       T-shirt

Lastly, when you are ready to go in the morning and before you close your camera bag…pick up your camera and take a quick shot of anything around your house.  You will be able to know instantly if you put the memory card, whether your battery is inside already, and whether your camera is in good working order.  Obviously, you do not want to be disappointed arriving at the location knowing that you forget something that you need.  You rather know while you are at home and have enough time to grab a memory card, charge your battery or fix whatever problem prior to leaving your house.

Just a simple tip to remember for those who seriously want to become a good Photographer.

Dedication & Comittment - A Saintly Act!

Very strong words which describe self-sacrifice or a devotion for a particular cause.  These are exactly what a person's heart desires whenever he wants to dedicate and make a commitment to a voluntary community service.

Lightform International Photographers Guild is so blessed to have Members who volunteer themselves to unselfishly share their acquired knowledge and skills in the field of photography.  It would take a person to desire from within his heart to give unconditionally what he has and to share it with others no matter what it takes. Even if it means giving up their weekend or rest day, they sacrifice this... just to show forth their selfless desire to share.  And that's most likely a saintly act.

Kudos to all Lightform volunteer Trainers and Members!
